You might be thinking — what is this weird 80’s polaroid thing going on here? Well, it’s my aura. My friend and I got our auras photographed (it’s been years now). And while I’m not super sure the “science” really adds up, I found the meaning of it intriguing.

I was jealous of my friend’s aura because it was so pretty. She had pink, turquoise, purple, blue – it was lovely. And here I was with a big ole red splotch. I was grateful for the pink at least. However, back to my point of intrigue, all the colors have a good side and a bad side. On one hand, red means strength, passion, determination, centeredness. On the flip side, it’s anger and ego.

Everyone has strengths and weaknesses. To bring out the best in yourself and others, you have to be aware of both. And this photo serves as a gentle reminder to me that you can let your weaknesses overcome you, or choose to focus on the positive contributions you can make. And that’s my attitude towards my work and life.
